F.A.Q.s

What is an Adventure Walk and how can it help me and my Pet?

Adventure Walks are walks in more interesting terrains and environments for your dog. Dogs love to explore and so a walk in the great outdoors will provide just the stimulation and enjoyment that will benefit your dog, they will hopefully return to you well exercised and content. I will tailor a walk in the nearby Peak District which will ideally last around 2-3 hours and your pet will be brought back to you clean and dry.

What do you mean by 'tailor a walk in the nearby Peak District'?

One of my main hobbies in life is to enjoy the outdoors, something which was instilled in me from a young age (thank you Stocksbridge Youth Centre!). At college I learned how to read a map and to navigate around the hills and moorlands of the Peaks and so one of the elements I enjoy is planning routes in new places – I love to explore too! So after meeting you and your dog and their first walk I will plan a route around one of the resevoirs or high point areas (Strines, Redmires, and Ladybower, Derwent, Edale, Loose Hill, Mam Torr, and Hope Valley) which will last for the walk duration you choose.

Do you walk Dogs on or off the lead?

Both. Due to the varying nature of the different breeds of dogs I do understand that some dogs need to be walked on a lead, but similarly some dogs need the freedom of not being constrained to a lead. So it’s up to you, I would never walk your pet off lead without your permission.
